karen13/ Marital Status: Single From Karen: Wow! 20 years?!?! Really? Where has the time gone? Greetings all ... I was wondering if there was going to be an event to celebrate the rainy night 20 years ago when the class of '87 stood under the breezeway between the "new" building and the lunchroom while others moved wet chairs from the football stadium to the sauna-like coliseum so that we could walk across a stage, shake the principal's hand and receive a piece of paper that I couldn't find right now if my life depended on it. I have my Auburn diploma, but not the diploma from the dear old AHS. Maybe Mom has it.
I'm not sure I'll make it to the reunion, so here's a little update ... I'm still single, but I live with my imaginary boyfriend Nick (sometimes it's Tomas) in Nashville. We're very happy except when he forgets to take out the trash! I don't have any children, but so many people around me are having babies that I'm kinda afraid to drink the water.
I was working in television at the last reunion, but that changed ... but I'm not bitter. Actually I am bitter, but I'll save that for the therapist. Anyway, still trying to figure out what I'm supposed to be doing in this crazy world I call home. Any suggestions? Seriously ... I've run out of ideas, so all suggestions are welcome.
In my spare time, I coach a U4 & U5 soccer team, I play soccer and volleyball (oh yeah, I've grown to 6'3" since high school). I would play hockey, but I can't skate. I direct the Children's Ministry Music program in my church, and I am also an ordained elder in my church. Our former church pianist called me a "spoon" because I stir up trouble (and I like it). Oh well, it's a gift ... and a curse.
I've considered stalking Tina Fey as a career, but there's no money in it ... and I'm much too lazy. Other than that, I'm the same ol' karen. Well, not exactly, but at least I've kept my sense of humor!!
